Day 4 of running
I took yesterday off from work & from working out.
The kids had their annual pediatrician appt @ 9:30 and then afterwards I brought them to school. I ran some errands including stocking up on some toiletries for my gym bag & buying some actual RUNNING shoes rather than the cardio shoes I have been wearing. Then I grabbed a quick (unhealthy - Five Guys) lunch before taking the metro into DC for my annual mammogram - all clear for another year. Everything looked good.
While on the metro I read a magazine article about a lady that lost 85 lbs with exercise & keeping her calories at 1200. She had tried all the other diets & always gained the weight back but by just watching calories she was still able to eat the foods she wanted (in smaller quantities) so she didn't feel like she was denying herself.
My eating has been out of control so I'm going to start tracking calories too - aiming to stay between 1200-1500 calories/day.
This morning wasn't AS tough to get up & out to the gym. I got there 20 min earlier than Monday - 5:50 today! Lol still not my 5:30 goal, but getting there.
Today's workout started Week 2 of The Plan where I alternate running for 90 seconds & walking for 2 min. It really wasn't that bad! I think the shoes helped make a difference too. They are Nike Air Max. Shins not hurting too much. Next planned run is Friday.
